There's nothing better than escaping for a weekend away with great friends. This past weekend I did just that and traveled to Atlanta, GA to spend some quality time with a few of my favorites (including my twin sister Ashley). On Saturday we ventured out to Hotlanta's historic Piedmont Park. I wanted to do some test shots with light so we stopped by the local grocery store and picked up 10 colorful balloons. Here's what we came up with.
The wind was crazy... but it made for some interesting shots.
The next shot is my favorite of Ashley. She is rocking those shoes.

Vintage Lane

This weekend was beautiful... so my friend catherine and I took advantage of the nice weather and hit central ave to explore the vintage shops and galleries. We stumbled into an eclectic little furniture store run by a woman named Allyson... She was amazing and so was her store... I definitely suggest checking it out. We had a blast playing dress up.
This is probably my favorite shot of the day.
Next, Cat and I grabbed some coffee and traveled back to Twenty-ten.

This weekend I went to my friend Dani's baby shower. Dani has already been blessed with 7 year old twin girls and a 5 year old daughter. Now she is expecting a baby BOY!! The shower was held in the neighborhood clubhouse. Here are some of the pictures from that day.

The cake was amazing and was decorated to look like the lining of the crib.

4 Generations
These next few pictures were taken AFTER the cake was served so the girls were definitely had a sugar rush :)

Then dad stopped by for a couple of pictures.

My old CBS Radio co-worker Tia wanted some non traditional family shots. Her oldest son is an up and coming musician. I am a music junky myself so I knew immediately what I wanted for the shoot and where to take them to capture their beautiful spirits.

His Music= His Life

I love this next one!
A non-traditional traditional pose

I started off having the kids jump but Tia wanted to do it too! I love her spirit!

Snow in the South :)

Meet my old roommate/ fabulous friend Sarah. Sarah is a free spirit. She's the type of person who goes to a bookstore for two hours and walks away with a book on how to make sock puppet animals. She's also the kinda person who spends $2 on a fur hat at a yard sale....

Recently we had a BLIZZARD (please note my sarcasm) come through the Queen City so Sarah and I had some fun in the snow... with "the hat". Here are some of my favorite pics from our venture. Hope you enjoy.
We tried to have Sarah make a snow ball but the snow was so icy that it wouldn't form together... this is what we got instead.

One of my favorites from the day... My little ice princess.. haha

I just bought a camera... Photography is something that I've wanted to do for a long time now but I was always too busy to get started. So a few weekends ago I was visiting some friends in Greenville, SC. We went to lunch and spontaneously decided to take their picture... thanks for standing out in the rainy cold weather for me.. Love you!

I was in love with this wall.
I think this one might be my favorite :)
